Expert Witness and Insurance Appraisals
The American Society of Consulting Arborists has certified me as a Registered Consulting Arborist based on my experience and education. I consult with insurance companies and law firms to appraise damage to or by trees and have served as an expert witness in a number of cases.
Tree Evaluation and Diagnosis
Because of the many benefits trees provide, my goal is to keep them in our communities as long as possible while minimizing risk. I can examine your tree to evaluate its health and determine what diseases, insects, or environmental issues may be affecting it.
Identification and Inventory
Knowing what trees you have is the crucial first step in planning preventive care. Insects and diseases are often particular to a given tree species. Knowing the potential problems your trees may have tells us what to watch for and manage if needed. I can provide you with an inventory of your trees.
Tree Risk Assessment
Just because a tree is large or old doesn't mean it's dangerous. If you are worried about your trees give me a call for a consultation. I am certified to determine the risk a tree poses to people and property and have given several tree risk workshops.
Care and Maintenance Plans
Trees have the resources they need in their natural forest environment. When they are planted in a man-made environment they benefit from assistance. I can consult with property owners and advise on both short and long term maintenance plans to ensure the maximum health and longevity of their trees.
Damage Appraisal
In addition to their other benefits, trees have a monetary value. The need to appraise this occurs when damage is done whether by accident, error, or malice. I have been trained in different forms of appraisal and can provide values for insurance claims or for property disputes.
New Tree Selection
Want to add some trees to your property? Selecting the both the right species and the best location is more difficult than you might assume. Trees have different requirements for their well being. Particulars such as moisture, sunlight, soil type and hardiness zones are important. I am available to help with the selection of both trees and sites for planting.
